Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using SnapSolve.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SnapSolve application ("App") or website ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use SnapSolve.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and SnapSolve ("Company", "we", "us", "our").

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.
  • Users under 18 must have a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on their behalf.
  • By creating a child profile, the parent or guardian confirms they have authority to consent on the child's behalf.
  • SnapSolve is intended for educational use by students in Kindergarten to Class 12 in India.

3. Account Registration

SnapSolve uses Google Sign-In for authentication. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your Google account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use at support@snapsolve.app

You may not create accounts for others without their permission, create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, or use another person's account.

4. Free Tier and Subscriptions

4.1 Free Tier

SnapSolve offers a free tier with up to 20 AI-powered homework solves per day. This limit may change at our discretion with reasonable notice.

4.2 Premium Subscriptions

Premium plans are available at:

  • Student Plan: ₹149/month — unlimited solves, full history
  • Annual Plan: ₹999/year — all Student Plan features at a discounted rate

4.3 Billing and Payments

  • Payments are processed securely by Razorpay.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

4.4 Refunds

We offer a 7-day refund policy for new subscriptions if you are unsatisfied. Refund requests must be submitted to billing@snapsolve.app within 7 days of purchase. Refunds are not available after the 7-day window or for annual plans after the first month.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SnapSolve only for lawful educational purposes. You must not:

  • Submit content that is inappropriate, offensive, or unrelated to educational purposes
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the App
  • Use the App to cheat in examinations or assessments where AI assistance is prohibited
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Use automated bots or scripts to make requests
  • Submit content that infringes copyright, including textbook pages without educational fair-use context
  • Upload any personal identifying information of third parties

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Important: SnapSolve uses Google's Gemini AI to generate homework explanations. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated answers may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
  • AI explanations are meant to help you learn — not to be submitted as your own work
  • You should always verify important answers with your teacher or textbook
  • SnapSolve is not responsible for academic consequences arising from reliance on AI answers
  • The AI may not perfectly align with every school's specific curriculum version

7. Intellectual Property

SnapSolve and all related content, including the app design, logo, UI, and AI prompts, are owned by SnapSolve and protected by intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the homework questions and photos you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely for the purpose of generating your answer.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of SnapSolve without written permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of SnapSolve is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully.

9. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. SnapSolve may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice where possible)
  • Unexpected technical issues
  • Third-party service outages (Google Firebase, Gemini API)

We are not liable for losses arising from service downtime.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapSolve shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data or academic outcomes
  • Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content
  • Damages exceeding the amount you paid for the service in the last 3 months

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon termination, your data will be deleted as per our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India. We encourage resolving disputes amicably by contacting us first at legal@snapsolve.app.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
